4 Ways To “Switch Up” Your Blog Content For More Return Readers

rss-logoHope you had a great weekend :0) - Today I’m gonna share with you 4 simple ways to switch up your blog content so you can constantly keep bringing fresh new stuff to your readers.

But first, I’ve been getting questions about how I come up with stuff to write about – and honestly, the simplest way I can answer that is like this: “I write about what’s happening with me and my business.”

If you take a look at the last 4 posts (excluding the MVP contest post), I gave specific examples of things I’m doing on my blog and in my business that are working.

Here They Are..

  1. Listed elements I have on my blog in:
Is Your Marketing A Reflection Of Your Prospect Or Yourself?
  2. Explained a lead-getting strategy I’m using in:
Lead Getting Strategy That Creates A Successful First Transaction
  3. Explained the linking tactics I use in:
Top 3 Linking Strategies To Keep More Blog Visitors On Your Blog
  4. Showed why I think I have a low exit rate in:
The 2 BIG Secrets To My Eye Popping 0.74% Exit Rate!

This not only allows me to be more transparent with my audience, but it also allows me to put out TRULY UNIQUE content, which is important.

OK.. So Here Are The 4 Ways To Switch Up Your Posts

#1. Have A Guest Blogger – This will definitely be a change of pace for your readers who are used to YOU being the only content provider on your blog.

#2. Turn Up The Heat - I wrote a post on confirmed vs. non-confirmed opt ins that started a great discussion between my readers. If there’s a topic that you think would really spark a great discussion, by all means, write about it and pick a side.

#3. Add Multimedia – Adding audio, video and even PDF documents for your readers to download, gives your readers a difference experience at your blog. These experiences can mean the difference between getting a loyal reader, from a “pass by” reader.

#4. Have Fun Doing It – Blogging might be the best part of your business or it might be a nightmare. Either way you have to enjoy sharing value because your passions shows through your writing and especially though video. So, if you’re only being informative – add some personality and coolness, and see if your response increases.

  5. Hi Hector,

I’ve been a guest blogger before. I had just started blogging so it was a scary challenge. (Thanks Derek & Monique for that opportunity!)

You can get either seasoned marketers (if they’re willing), or even up and coming bloggers that you see potential in.

“if you’re only being informative” LOL Like being informative is ever “ONLY”.

    Hey Hector,

Thanks for the tips bro… I like the idea of having guest bloggers and adding multimedia. I’m going to give it a go. In terms of multimedia, giving away a public domain publishing such as “Think and Grow Rich” could add tremendous value.

  13. Hector,

Some excellent points here… The whole point of having your own blog is that you can do what you want with it, and it shows who YOU ARE. Let loose, and write the way that you speak… Unless you’re writing content for articles.

People love videos, and it’s much more appealing to watch a 2-3 minute video than to read a 800 word post that doesn’t seem to end. I myself am a product of our society, in that I’m all about NOW… I want it NOW… Just like everyone else

  14. Hey Hector

Content is king and much like you I use what is happening with me in my business to get content from. If your not active in your business this can be hard! (SO GET ACTIVE).

Another great way is by visiting other people’s blogs. You can get great ideas. (NOT COPYING). Sometimes an idea can come from a simple comment or a line of copy.

Botton-line the more active and involved you are in your business the easier creating content will be
