Adding personality to your written words can take some time to perfect. I think it’s essential, especially now in the “relationship building-age” that you inject some personality to your marketing strategies… so until you perfect your copywriting skills.. you should do the next best thing -which is Add An Intro Video.
Some blogs I’ve seen out there in many niches, are just plain BOOOORRRINNGG – and this is my way of telling you to WAKE UP and BE INTERESTING..
(if of course you’re one of those booorriiinngg people, which you’re probably not because you’re one of my readers and MY READERS AREN’T BORING) 
I just added my video so I thought it would be appropriate to share this with you.
Here are some reasons why you should consider a Blog Intro Video:
1. It gives your blog a face
2. You connect with readers on a deeper level
3. Your readers will be able to relate with you a lot easier
4. You’ll be able to build your list faster because New Visitors will play the video and hear your call to action to join your list
5. You’ll be a cooler person.. and many more reasons..
I’d like to hear what you think about intro videos.. are they getting old? do you have one? do you do anything ‘special’ in the video that’s a bit different? Please share your thoughts, I promise I’ll read them all and go watch your intro video if you do have one..

I totally agree with you. When people hear you speak AND THEN read your words, everything changes psychologically. Plus, people appear to be more likable after that point. Of course that would depend on how they appear in the video.

Since you’ve been to my blog lately, now I’m afraid I’m one of the boring ones!
I’m adding an intro video TODAY!
I think it will be a great strategy. I don’t know if they’re “old” or not, but they will still add a face to my blog (until I get it up in the header) and add interest.
As more people build blogs and learn the correct way to market online, adding personality will only be more important.

LOL – No I don’t think your blog is boring.. as a matter a fact being that 3 outta the 5 blog posts on your homepage have a video of you makes up for the intro video..

After reading your article, I will put up an intro video to give my blog more flavor versus just plain text or with a picture. You are right about adding video. The reader gets to see what the author looks like and have that connection.

Great post! Video is a great way to share your energy, your emotion.
My blog is all about sharing energy and emotions, so video it’s a must.
I personally like to use music in the background, because I’m an artist and beacuse I like to feel the groove when I’m talking.
Again, since what I want to share is an emotion more than an information, adding a video, an adding a video with music, it’s absolutely amazing.
And everyone can create its unique way of doing a video!!! It’s so much fun!
